The Owner's Crew are three legendary French Bulldogs — Cardi, Balenci, and Cartier — based on Keith Neal's real-life dogs. They are the hardest characters to unlock and arrive with every Training Pen stat maxed to Level 5.
How to Unlock Them
Unlike every other coat in the Cloud Kennel, Owner's Crew members are not bought with Cosmic Smoothies. Each dog is gated behind a brutal distance milestone hidden in the game — one per crew member, each harder than the last. The exact distances are not listed here on purpose. Keith buried the requirements somewhere in Frenchieland for players to discover on their own.
Skilled runners may stumble into an unlock simply by pushing deep into a long run. Most players will need to hunt for the hidden details before they know what to aim for. Once you unlock any one crew member, the full Owner's Crew category opens in the Cloud Kennel.
Why They Are Special
Unlike kennel purchases, Owner's Crew dogs:
- Cost 1,000,000 smoothies if bought normally (but the hidden distance path is the intended unlock).
- Arrive with all 8 Training Pen stats at Level 5 immediately.
- Unlock the Owner's Crew kennel category once any one member is obtained.
- Represent the ultimate endurance achievement — farther than almost any Cosmic Challenge demands.
Strategy for Long Runs
- Master zone memory — alternate Sky cooldowns with Ground distance pushes.
- Run Sovereign Skull + Golden Revive for maximum survivability.
- Use Fame Injector on your best attempts — you will need many tries.
- Enable auto-pause on tab switch in Settings to protect long runs.
- Treat Owner's Crew attempts as marathons — consistency over heroics.
Finding the Hidden Requirements
Keith left clues inside the game for players who go looking. We are not spelling out where — that is part of the challenge. When you find them, you will know exactly what distances to chase.
